Overall Physical Description - Shaggy blonde hair mats the top of Aralain Temoren's head, coupled with dark skin as a result of his mother's Tairen background. Lightly muscular, the man possesses the build of the average soldier, though he has had little experience with the sword beyond self-defense lessons with the head of his father's security force.
Nationality - Tairen/Andoran
History - Aralain Temoren?s childhood wasn?t especially irregular, though his father was a minor Noble of Andor, and his mother a powerful merchant?s only daughter in Tear. Misfortune rarely befell the family, and the heir of House Temoren?s life revolved mostly around his excellent education in general studies, government, and salesmanship. However, what interested him most were his hunting trips with his father?s manservant Rommel. The Domani man was extremely skilled with the bow, and as a result of his teaching, Aralain?s marksmanship was soon the envy of all of his friends and even retainers. Now 14, Aralain?s frequent lessons with the sword and bow had gotten him to be interested in the arts of war, and his history instructors quickly took this to advantage and began to assign him lessons that focused on great military tacticians and events in which they took part. He was consequently given textbooks that critiqued the most important and/or most epic battles of the Age, and drank them in, memorizing nearly all of the mistakes and successes. Most of all, he marveled at the many victories and accomplishments of the White Tower, especially those battles whose outcome wasn?t influenced by the presence of Aes Sedai, and the use of the One Power. The brave men known as Warders and Tower Guards fascinated him, and inspired his hunger for glory and achievement, but most of all filled him with wonder at their apparent selflessness, and their commitment to their ultimate goal of defending the honor of the White Tower, and defeating the armies of the Shadow at Tarmon Gaidon, the Last Battle. Seeing this admiration, his father realized that it wouldn?t be difficult to capitalize on connections with the Tower politically, and most importantly that his son desired to be among the freedom fighters and courageous defenders who populated the city of Tar Valon. After much consideration, 16 year old Aralain asked his parents if he could make the journey to Tar Valon, and apply for training as a Warder.
Having already reached the conclusion that he would decide his path, they agreed, and along with their retainers, and a proud and beaming manservant named Rommel, traveled with him to the island city of Tar Valon, to seal his fate as a Warder?s apprentice of the White Tower, and to seal him away from his family, for eternity.
