Born of Salvin al'Dregon of Two Rivers & Venda al'dregon of Chachin. They met in Chachin when Salvin left to explore the world. They fell in love on sight & were soon married. Venda's family disowned her for marrying below her station. That gave her & Salvin the perfect reason to move to a small town near the Saldaea border in the Plain of Lances. There they started an inn & had a child, Kross al'Dregon
Kross had cheerful childhood. Very few Trolloc raids ever reached the town, crime was almost non-existent, & Kross had many friends. His father taught what he had learned in his travels & at the age 11, he began taking him hunting, teaching him to use the bow, & how to track. & His mother taught him etiquette, to dance, & the workings of the Borderland countries.Kross helped run the inn. At first, he would help his father assign rooms, take payment, & Show people to their rooms. Later, he helped with repairs & caring for horses.
It was around this time an Aes Sedai & her Warder arrived for a stay at the inn. While most were amazed with the Aes Sedai, Kross was more interested in the Warder. He had always dreamed of being a hero or traveling with an Aes Sedai. Becoming a Warder seemed to take care of both. It was from then on that he trained for even a chance to become a Warder, asking any soldiers & warriors for whatever tips they could give him, exercising daily, & practicing his archery.
Finally at the age of 18, he told his parents he was leaving for the White Tower. They at first tried to make him stay, not wanting to lose their only child, but he was so determined that they give in & let him leave with their best wishes. Giving them one last hug good-bye, Kross rode out on Sentell, his midnight black stallion & started south for the Tar Valon & his future...
