Physical Description: Tall and thin with a boyish figure. Her hair is pale yellow and her eyes large and brown. Her skin is very pale with a light sprinkling of freckles across her nose. She most often wears light shades of clothing and wears her hair pulled back from her face with a clip, but still flowing nearly to her waist.
Character History[]
Yola came to Tar Valon as part of a merchant train and on a whim decided to have herself tested for the ability to channel. She tested true, but once she was in novice whites, she questioned her own sanity for wanting to be a part of the White Tower. She attempted to leave and return to the wagon train, but was caught and punished. The Aes Sedai scared her enough with stories of what might happen to a woman who could channel without the guidance of the Tower that she did not attempt to run away again. It wasn't until years later that she realized she would have never channeled if they had not taught her how.
She spent twelve years as a Novice and fifteen as an Accepted and believed on more than one occasion that she would be put out of the Tower before she reached Aes Sedai. She barely passed her test for the Shawl and entered the Gray Ajah as one of its oldest new members ever, at 45 years old. Still, she is weak enough in the Power that she stands lowest in the Ajah. She is now 48 years of age and has been serving as Marce's secretary since she was accepted into the Gray.
